Love poem

(There might have originally been a tune to this, but I don’t remember one.)

Sometimes you’re like a ray of sun
That drives the clouds away
Sometimes you’re like a bunch of clouds
That eats up every ray

Sometimes you make me angry
And sometimes you make me blue
But I love you unwav’ringly
No matter what you do.

I love you when you’re baking
(Even more than what you bake)
I love you when you’re sleeping
(But prefer when you’re awake)

I love you when you’re sickly
(But it’s nicer when you’re well)
I love you when you yell at me
(But hate it when you yell!)

Though sometimes you seem perfect
I suspect it isn’t true
But I love you unfalt’ringly
No matter what you do!

I love you when your hair is short
(But like it better long)
I love you when you’re right
(But I would rather not be wrong)

I love you when you’re sweet to me
(But also when you’re sour)
I love you when you’re dirty
(But I like it when you shower)

If you had a suggestion box
I might pop in a few
But I love you unswervingly
No matter what you do!

I loved you better this week
Than I did the week before
And when the next week rolls around
I’ll love you even more!
